FBlaster is a new Semiomantics Facebook Development with the purpose to populate your Facebook Fan Page with any content namely from your WordPress or any blog site. In fact FBlaster, once installed can aggregate all your feed streams, from any site, such as blog, shop, flickr, tumblr and so on and bring it right in  front of your audience at Facebook with style.

FBlaster for WordPress on Facebook

FBlaster is based on the high performance Semiomantics XO script and integrates all the qualities, bells and whistles thereof.

Considering that Facebook Fan Pages display content in an iFrame, it is important to integrate as much of the FBlaster content with facebooks other features in order to gain visibility on the facebook search and in order to establish communication between the fan page content and the facebook audience.

In order to accomplish this, FBlaster communicates with the facebook wall, notes and comments. Facebook comments can be integrated into FBlaster as well as the oposite is true as well: FBlaster Comments can populate the Wall and Notes as well.

FBlaster allows to manage your Facebook content from outside. FBlaster also takes advantage from the multiple feed opportunities granted by Facebook to export Facebook content to the WWW with the goal to add exposure on Search Engines, namely on Google.

The FBlaster version built for Listen Up London is an independent external website which fits perfectly into a Facebook iFrame Tab or Fan Page. The Facebook integration can be viewed HERE

The site in it’s present version serves to share with the Facebook audience web content created by and about Christian George and “Listen Up London” on multiple platforms, such as tumblr, YouTube or Flickr.

Once installed, the publication to and from Facebook is automated. Further development is possible, such as adding a shop, or any other desired feature, such as a version for mobile devices.

The combination of self hosted WordPress and Facebook is a brilliant idea; you take advantage of the popular place Facebook for the social aspect and you can style your content and features to taste.

Also from a work-flow point of view, you don’t need to spend your day on Facebook and manage at the same time your WordPress: your Publishing and Editing is managed from your WordPress dashboard.

Originally FBlaster has been developed for people who want to make their Facebook cool (it’s true, while Facebook may have been cool when it started, it now looks somewhat oldish and it still does not allow users to give to their FB presence that personal touch and feel you can set up on MySpace for example.

Also, FBlaster is probably the most sophisticated Facebook Marketing Tool in as much as it can provide high visibility without paying for Facebook or other ads. There is no question about the Google Top 10 performance, since the FBlaster includes Semiomantics XO optimization features. Social Media Marketing is made easy with FBlaster as it can control and automate publishing to multiple social networks, such as MySpace and all the social aggregators.

Listen Up London is an amazing young brand for media production. Christian George’s talent is obvious, reason why people like Global Sports US entrust Listen Up London with media production. Recently I had the opportunity to provide Listen Up London with some animated Logo footage which is added to clips shut and edited by Christian.

Looking at Listen Up London’s Clips and Photographic work at You Tube and Tumblr, I though it was worth the while promoting my friend and his business, the more that he is living a passion and a dream he is realizing at the sacrifice of many distractions.

In fact Christian has bought appropriate equipment based on a Canon 500D to shoot high quality clips which correspond to the standards customers require these days.

The features picture here is not by Christian, but I just liked this snapshot taken at the Global US Store in London. I pinched it from Christian’s Tumblr and did some post editing as you can see.

Working for Christian was a pleasure, refreshing, quick and direct: our communication was about entirely mobile based and to make things easier, I just registered the domain ListenUpLondon.com to load the previews of our project.

Christian does not yet have his own domain, host and website, but it’s on hist list of priorities. In the mean time I use the domain to build a promotional website for him under the umbrella of semiomantics developments. The goal is to create an XO based website which can be inserted into facebook. The actual site is up and running. The facebook implementation is under development.

In any case, I am sure, in the near future, Listen Up London will be seen all over the place and from Semiomantics we wish Christian all the best with his passion and great work!

As our previous post showed: images are great to improve the surfing experience of our visitors. The way we edit however is an important component for different reasons: if we embed large pictures into a post or page, the first impression can be smashing but it can be at the expense of fast loading pages. There are a few remedies to the loading problems you may encounter.

The best solution from a user’s point of view: get a fast internet connection.If I am running the previous post on a 24 MB/s line, it’s a piece of cake. If you live in a country where fast lines are not available, then you are at the mercy of webmasters who load less demanding stuff.

Thumbnails load fast and can then expand to most any size. Chose a thumbnail format which is still big enough to attract the curiosity of your visitor.

Example: this is a 120x80 thumbnail. It gives a ‘small’ idea about what the big picture could be.

If a picture is less attractive as a thumbnail, just embed a medium size format:

Example: 300 wide for this one.

One big image in a post will not hurt. But if you embed multiple pictures, loading time will increase dramatically.

Example: 500 wide.

Here we choose the big size because the thumb or 300 would not really have any significant effect.

Slide shows also allow us to save time depending on how they load.

The brand new Global Sports web site is progressing. Some new features have been added, namely flash banners for the header and a 120x600 skyscraper to feature snap shots from the life at Global Sports. New Media modules have also been installed.

The top flash banner consists of 4 header banners rotating using a flash rotator providing also the random shutter transitions.

How about Music while visiting the site?

Visitors to Global Sports may like to get the vibe by listening into some of Global’s preferred tracks by using the small but hot YouTube player. The idea is simple: Create a play list on YouTube and load it to the player.

For the test run we have just selected tracks from friends of Global Sports, such as Shola  Ama and JP Esq.

The music player is located on top of the People’s Gallery:

A second YouTube module is on display right under the featured Images on top left of the site. We are testing the home page holding 3 YouTube players now, the third one being in the sidebar right, close to the bottom of the page.

Adidas Nike Jordan and Friends

This second player displays brand ads Nike, Adidas, Jordan and others. It’s just one more media component which can be used for other purposes, for example to display video clips of customization of sneakers and caps or Limited Edition products.

Just for the record: the third video, located in the right sidebar at the bottom is the latest clip loaded to Global Sports US own built-in video gallery.

Global will select which features it wants to display. As they are all loaded, one can also imagine a changing display, depending on the mood, the weather, the price of tofu, or other good, scientific founded reasons.

Gene Line is a big keyword with over 62,000,000 search returns; Cars Daily Chronicle returns over 10 million and Daily Chronicle over 15,000,000. It’s all in line with Gene!

Building an online Publication is also building a new Brand, the Brand being the name of the Online News Paper. Using words such as Daily or Chronicle means that we have to compete with established brands, not to speak about the keyword Cars. Mixing it all together to Cars Daily Chronicle does not make life any easier. On the other hand, a new name is always a problem of Semantics when it comes to our expectations about successful Search Engine Marketing. Google may not give the same connotation to our words or to their combination.

Cars Daily Chronicle is an expression which is rather clear and we know what we can expect: it’s about Cars, it’s a publication and it is updated daily with new content.

After my little article from yesterday, I was wondering if we were picked up on the keywords so dear to Gene. Here is the result:

I was then wondering if we had been too specific and thought of checking the key-phrase: “Daily Chronicle”. I did not really expect any visible result but it was worthwhile surfing a few pages on Google to find that we end up on rank 36 on Daily Chronicle.

The same observation I made yesterday on Business Market Watch London applies here as well: the Domain carsdailychronicle.com would probably do additional wonders. (Checking it just now, I notice that the domain has been registered on yorGOdom, hopefully by Gene.)

On the Expression Business Market Watch London we have about monopolized  Google’s top 10, in fact, as I write, we hold 9 of the 10 top entries:

The performance is mainly due to 3 articles by Bianca Gubalke and by myself promoting Felisa Ryan’s new online Publication. The sites showing up on Google are yorgoopublishing.com, businessmarketwatchlondon.com (which we registered yesterday), yorgonestoridis.com, besmabashier.com (a dublicator script), biancagubalke.wegobiz.com ( a YORGOO Blaster!), marketwatch.com, the only third party site left on the top 10, yorgooblaster.com/marketing (again a YORGOO Blaster!), news.yorgonestoridis.com (a YORGOO Press Script), and on rank 10 ycademy.com also powered by a YORGOO Press Script.

All sites mentioned above have one thing in common: they are tuned by Semiomantics. Interestingly, YORGOO Blasters are doing very well and we see the first YORGOO Press scripts popping up. Cars Daily Chronicle by Gene Line will show up as well, as soon as indexed by Google and with the support by the appropriate domain, http://geneline.yorgoopress.com will be beating all of us shortly.
