Monochrome Website Backgrounds Semiomantics Evolution and Evo2 websites are media driven. Background images vitalize the sites. In order to keep a homogeneous appearance and to manage contrasts with overlay layers, I recommend to use mainly monochromatic background images. The best source for backgrounds is photography. Digital Photography — Monochromatic Treatment httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXSEVPxNrS4 If possible, watch this clip in HD 720 p and blow it up to full-screen view. I was surprised by the image quality on YouTube considering namely that the images used have been downsized from an original 4000 x 3000 pixels to 1200 pixels wide and the file size of each picture is max. 100 kb compared to the original 4.65 MB jpeg output from the camera. Vouliagmeni Events: Dance at the Lake The purpose of the below video is to test different image treatments and encoding. The photos have been shot on June 23, 2010 at Lake Vouliagmeni, our sweet-water lake with thermal qualities. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHOusKsK8sA Some of the images render well after encoding, others namely where Photoshop styles have been applied are clearly weaker. The full slideshow in avi format came in with over 8,72GB. Compression brought the file down to some 3.2 MB (flv in YouTube); the mp4 version HQ22 is about 20 MB and streams smoothly on a fast connection. The slides have been mounted on Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 64-bit version. This award winning software is extremely user-friendly and accessible to newbies. I will do a further test using Adobe’s Premier Pro before drawing final conclusions. Vouliagmeni Lake Dance Last night I was lucky when attending a rehearsal of tonight’s Vouliagmeni Lake Dancing Party. The light was right to shoot some nice pictures for fliers, have a look and enjoy on YouTube. Eleni Velissaridou comes back with a great cast and choreography to be seen tonight at Lake Vouliagmeni. I hope you understand that I will not be out tonight .
