The purpose of the site is to serve as a gateway leading to all the other sites related to our South African Business. As the South Africa project is under construction, we have just built in all the necessary hooks to serve the purpose of the ‘umbrella’ site. South Africa The site is named “South Africa” which is also a primary keyword. The site script is a Semiomantics Business CMS based on WP 2.8 RC1, which we will need to update to the stable release as soon as available. The Site Map There are 4 main categories we are focusing on: – South Africa – Who is Who (People) – South Africa Publishing – Our Web Services We also have added a shop to the site, namely for downloadable products. The Features Main Area The main area of the site holds dynamic content related to our above main topics. This content is structured as follows: on top the latest post, then a Choice of Editorials and finally some Quick Messages, a [...]

Different considerations will guide our choices. Consideration In view of the Target Market (South Africa) we will register and set up a local domain for the main business web site. The site will have a portal function and link to the various business branches represented each by its own website. Structured portals or directories usually are not very Search Engine efficient. For this reason we use CMS Software with high publishing power. A second important issue concerns local partners. We want to provide prospects as from the beginning with local contacts. The Choices We have registered the domain yorgoo.co.za. As YORGOO is our Brand in the global market, used to make advanced technology available to a large public and to provide free services, we want to profit from eventual synergies resulting from the established reputation of YORGOO Enterprises. The Website will be built on a customized Semiomantics Business Site Script. We are using an adapted magazine type layout for user friendly navigation and we will add [...]

Now we need to lay down the business idea we want to implement. Based on the Business Idea we will elaborate a Plan and then Implement the plan. This series of articles features a live experience in real time. I have no clue about the out come but I will use all my experience and know-how to bring the business to fruition using all the means at disposal. The Online Business Idea I would like to create a business in a geographically limited area far from my home country. I have identified local needs for products and services and I am convinced that my products and services are highly competitive in the selected market. The Target Area To build my online Business I target South Africa, a country where liberalization of communication systems and Internet is still in its beginning, preventing thus locals from accessing cost efficient solutions for the use and exploitation of the Internet. While country wide campaigning may be too heavy of a charge, [...]

There are a few factors which will impact on your visitors Surfing Experience. Slide shows: the technology you use on your site Slide shows: the technology your visitor uses Slide shows: the technology you use on your site Using a WordPress based website you have multiple options. You can just use galleries from the built in media module. Example 1: Images are loaded into the WP Media Folder using the upload tool associated with the post editor. To display the pictures as a slide show, you need some additional soft ware, plug-ins. Example 2: Images are loaded into a Image Management Module and rendered as an embedded slide show: The above depends mainly of the technology used on your website since most computers can render such slide shows and there is therefore no discrimination of users who are not equipped with software beyond default. Slide shows: the technology your visitor uses With the increasing popularity of Social Media, some interesting applications have been developed which allow Internet users to improve their [...]

The issue was about: how to tag and publish in the most efficient way a post targeting people who are looking for accommodation in Great Brak River on the Garden Route in South Africa. I had told Hanno that I have been testing different methods recently and that I had some astonishing results with a ‘new’ or a different way of tagging bringing the Semiomantics tuning advantages yet to another level. To increase the challenge, I wanted to use a brand new blog, in fact I started posting from the blog we set up last night at during the Ycademy call. The site is at Africa YORGOO Media and if you check it out: the configuration of the site is not yet completed, however the basic Semiomantics set up on YORGOO Media gave me the necessary confidence to take the bet. The post content suggested by Hanno was a recent post on Garden Route Directory by Hanno Coetzee which we just copied [...]

Visit the original article at http://yorgonestoridis.com/yorgo-nestoridis/the-garden-route-goes-live/.The Garden Route a new Online Publication The Garden Route is the new online publication by Garden Route Publishing. The Purpose is to provide free online information about topics around the Garden Route as well as to be a useful tool for South Africans who would like to profit from the positive aspects of the Internet in our local and global society. The Garden Route has been initiated by Yorgo Nestoridis from YORGOO Publishing, joined by Bianca Gubalke who have been inspired by the Garden Route Directory Project elaborated for Hanno Coetzee. Working on that latter project it appeared that there is an increasing demand for online services according to international standards and prices in South Africa. “The Garden Route” is focused on bridging between low-tech live and the virtual world by making the best technology and the most personalized services accessible to anyone. The Garden Route Web Site The Garden Route web site is powered by YORGOO Press, a Semiomantics script prepared and tuned by Yorgo Nestoridis. The formula used serves as a test for a typical local publication as it can be set up. The site will promote [...]

Visit the original article at http://yorgonestoridis.com/yorgo-nestoridis/yorgoo-press-news-222/.YORGOO Press Going Strong YN — YORGOO Press web sites start to storm Google on their respective keyword targets and we are prowd to see that the beauty of the sites does by no means hurt the Semiomantics Tuning and efficiency of the sites. Here below you find some examples. The YORGOO Times The YORGOO Times is a customized version of YORGOO Press where we test additional customization features, such as modified layouts, styles as well as the introduction of additional media. It’s all about online publishingand focused on the YORGOO and YORGOO Press Communities. The style projects a traditional black and white news-paper look I personally like for its immediate resemblance with a ‘real’ newspaper. Interesting also the Google Index, where we have already conquered the brand name just with the sub-domain ‘times’ from YORGOO Press: Garden Route Newsletter Lalakoi Post The Lalakoi post or GardenRoutre Newsletter is Hanno Coetzee’s South African and Garden Route focused new Online Publication. The site is already rich in content and Garden Route Newsletter has already attracted numerous advertisers. The site under the brand ‘Tha Lalakoi Post’ is part of the Garden Route [...]

Hosting South Africa: New Project
Hosting in South Africa looks like an expensive affair, at least from customer side. Comparing prices with our hosting packs from ChiHosters or from the YORGOO Pro host, you will notice, that the shared hosting accounts or the Virtual Managed Servers cost a multiple from what our cost is. Even domains [...]
