As WordPress provides hooks and filters, it is relatively simple to customize many aspects of WordPress based sites, by just adding functions and styling them. Add a search Box to the WordPress Menu The principle is simple: if your theme does not provide this function, just add it to your functions.php and then was the case may be, style it by adding a few lines of code to your style sheet. The favicons show namely in the browser tabs. Nowadays most browsers will also show .gif and .png icons; the .ico format is preferred by Internet Explorer. A quick and easy way to create a Favicon is by using the online tool put at disposal by favicon.com. A better result can be achieved by editing the favicon in Photoshop; however Photoshop does not support the .ICO format in its native version. A plug-in can remedy. Some of the most asked questions deal with the visual representation of products and with the thumbnails. The theme creates product thumbnails automatically irrespective of the image size loaded. Experience teaches however, that the most uniform results are achieved when loading product images in a uniform size. For the purpose of our demo store, I have selected a square format of 512  x 512 pixels. Of course you may load portrait pr landscape shaped images. If all your images have the same proportions (width and height) it is recommended to modify the script to suit the desired proportions. Home Page Thumbnails The script defines a 165 x 165 pixels square space with a 1 pixel border into which it places a thumbnail of 143 x 143 pixels, positioned on top left.
